  • One should get first preventive checkups at the age of 20 years.
  • If there is very strong family History of early heart attacks one should get before 20 years of age.

  • Hypertension is Blood pressure ≥  140/90 mmHg

  • Diabetes is fasting blood sugar level is ≥ 126 mg/dL
  • PPBS > 200 mg/dL
  • HBA1C ( Glycated haemoglobin) ≥ 6.5%

  • Regular Exercise (At least 30 to 45 min of exercise/day, at least 5 days/week).
  • Low Fatty Diets Reduces saturated fats (Red Meat, Full Fat Dairy Products etc.)
  • Cholesterol reducing drugs( stackins)
  • Avoid Trans fats (like palm oil, Dalda etc.)
  • Eat food rich in omega 3 fatty acids.

  • Coronary Angiogram is an Investigation to identify Narrowing in Coronary Arteries
  • It is done through Right Radical Artery (Just above the wrist joint or Right Femoral Artery(Broin))
  • During this procedure Radio Iodine Contrast is injected into the Coronary Arteries (Blood vessels supplying the Heart Muscle) and X-Ray is taken to see how Blood Flows in the Arteries of the Heart.

  • Coronary Artery Stenting is a small metal mesh tube that is placed inside a coronary artery to keep the artery open.

  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft is also a Medical Procedure to improve blood flow to the Heart.
  • It is done when the Arteries supply to the Heart ( Coronary Arteries are narrowed /Blocked Multiple Places)
